While anxiety is often associated with continued are unwarranted worry, there are many who say that worry is misplaced when you can't do anything about a situation. The research resulted in a list of 47 individual stressors or stress causing events. These events were then ranked according to their perceived seriousness, or a kind of stress-o-meter type of indicator. An example is death of a spouse is ranked at a 100 and is the most stressful situation identified. We were a bit tentative when embarking on this project on anxiety illnesses. However, using the grit and determination we have, we have produced some fine reading material on anxiety illnesses.
Using the Holmes and Rahe stressor list, you may be able to better prepare yourself for the anxiety and stressful events that will sooner or later, enter your life.
